Fashion designers have a lot on there responsibilities to prove what they do and why ? sometimes one can say they are artist and get away but i guess there is a thin line that has to be understood.
There is so much goin on ...and in the middle of all this we have to "design"..Create something out of this world and yet be smart enough for the garb to sell...its crazy we designers need to know everything like what will people want in the future? what is happening around the world? what are the influences? our culture? its like our past ..our present and our future all together and now a new responsibility to save the world...look at sustainable fashion...and also terrorism is the new attention...as all this is affecting the way we think ...so connectingly what we wear!
